On 7 October 2017 Middlesbrough Football Club’s appointed legal representatives made a knowingly false application certified as true, falsely representing the EEI owed the Club £555,000 said to have arisen through an order obtained by fraud of 16 January 2017 in the sum of £25,000 dated 16 January 2017.
